Flagstaff Family Food Center
Join us every second Thursday of the month from 8:45 to 11 am at the WIHCC Main Campus (500 N. Indiana Ave, Winslow, AZ 86047) as we distribute fresh food and essential groceries to families and individuals in the Winslow community. Volunteers at this event help set up and organize distribution tables, welcome guests, hand out produce and pantry items, and create a positive, dignified experience for everyone who attends. This hands-on, community-centered event is perfect for anyone who wants to make a real impact and connect with neighbors in need. Whether you’re organizing supplies, handing out food, or offering a friendly greeting, your efforts ensure that nutritious meals reach the tables of those who need them most.

To keep everyone safe and make sure our event runs smoothly, please follow these safety guidelines: • Wear closed-toe, non-slip shoes—no sandals or open-toed footwear. • Dress for the weather and bring water if needed, as the event may be indoors or outdoors. • Wash your hands thoroughly before handling any food items and use hand sanitizer regularly. • Wear gloves when handling produce or groceries, and change them as needed. • Lift with care: Use your legs, not your back, and ask for help with heavy or awkward items. • Keep walkways and distribution areas clear of boxes and clutter to avoid trips and falls. • Stay aware of your surroundings: Watch for vehicles and moving equipment, especially during setup and cleanup. • Treat everyone—guests and volunteers—with kindness and patience, even during busy moments. • Protect guest privacy: Do not discuss personal information in public areas and keep all records secure. • Know where first aid kits and emergency exits are located. If an accident or injury occurs, notify a supervisor immediately. • Stay home if you feel unwell or have any symptoms of illness.
24-Hour Cancellation Policy Reminder To help us serve our community efficiently, please remember our 24-hour cancellation policy for all volunteer shifts: • If you need to cancel a scheduled shift, please let us know at least 24 hours in advance. • You can cancel by logging into your volunteer account, emailing, or calling our office. • Last-minute cancellations make it challenging to fill your spot and can impact our ability to serve those in need. • If you have an emergency or sudden illness, let us know as soon as possible—your health comes first.
