Safety Information for Produce Box Packing To keep everyone safe and ensure high-quality produce boxes, please follow these guidelines during your shift: • Wash your hands thoroughly before handling any food items and after breaks. • Wear gloves when packing produce and change them regularly, especially if they become dirty or torn. • Wear closed-toe, non-slip shoes—no sandals or open-toed footwear. • Lift carefully: Use your legs, not your back, and ask for help with heavy boxes. • Keep work areas clean: Wipe down surfaces and keep walkways free of clutter or spills. • Handle produce gently to avoid bruising or damage, and remove any spoiled or unsafe items. • Follow all food safety and quality guidelines: Do not pack damaged, moldy, or unsafe produce. • Stay home if you are feeling unwell or have any symptoms of illness. • Report any accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions to a supervisor immediately. • Know where first aid kits and emergency exits are located. Thank you for keeping our packing area safe and our produce fresh for every family we serve!

24-Hour Cancellation Policy Reminder To help us serve our community efficiently, please remember our 24-hour cancellation policy for all volunteer shifts: • If you need to cancel a scheduled shift, please let us know at least 24 hours in advance. • You can cancel by logging into your volunteer account, emailing, or calling our office. • Last-minute cancellations make it challenging to fill your spot and can impact our ability to serve those in need. • If you have an emergency or sudden illness, let us know as soon as possible—your health comes first. Thank you for your understanding and for helping us keep our programs running smoothly!
